A new, unannounced PlayStation game is apparently in the works, according to a post on the IconEra forums. Shown in what appears to be a very early prototype, the game is apparently a new sci-fi RPG IP from Sony.

The footage from the leaked game shows the player controlling the character in a third-person POV, with what appears to be a humanoid monster climbing a tower of some sort.

According to the poster, “John Alden Ring,” the footage comes from a “very early build” of the IP despite being built on Unreal Engine 5, which likely explains the dated graphics. It’s also being developed through Sony’s XDev branch alongside an unknown studio. But other than that, we know next to nothing about this game.

However, a second edit of the post hints at further possible leaks. “There will be many more leaks this year, so stay tuned,” the post now mentions. It’s unclear if this leak pertains to this game or others, as we’ve received quite a few game leaks in recent weeks. Alpha builds of Horizon Forbidden West and Halo 3 have recently been found online, and there’s even a playable version of the unfinished Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded fan project. Still, since we didn’t really get much from this particular leak, it’s not unreasonable to assume we’ll be hearing more about this IP sometime this year.

With Sony’s PS5 selling more units than ever before, this oblivious RPG could launch to a significantly larger player base if the leak turns out to be true.

Note that the same goes for any other leak, take it with a grain of salt for now until more information emerges.
