Rainbow Studios has released the MX vs ATV Legends 1.17 update, introducing various bug fixes and gameplay issues. Check out the MX vs. ATV Legends January 17 patch notes below.
MX vs ATV Legends Update 1.17 Patch Notes | MX vs. ATV Legends January 13 Patch Notes:
- Fixed bugs resulting in laps not being counted when crossing the finish line, especially during online matches
- Significantly reduced cases where wrecks occur during takeoff and landing for no apparent reason
- Physics: Increased sideslip angle limitation across all bikes to reduce chances of wrecking when landing or sideslipping
- Increased grip across the entire bike when landing slightly sideways to prevent slipping on surfaces
- Slightly increased overall grip on ATVs and ATV tire tuning parts to match MX bikes
- Tune the ATV power to be more competitive with the MX 450F
- Improved the riding and idling animations and released the rider’s body
- Gameplay: Fixed issues resulting in laps not being counted when crossing the finish line
- Gameplay: fixed reset logic to prevent the rider from resetting behind the finish line (and immediately completing another lap) in some rare conditions
- Gameplay: Fixed an issue preventing “Gonna Need a Bigger Garage” from being unlocked under common conditions; Additional fixes in the next patch for players who have already unlocked all vehicles
- Gameplay: Fixed an issue that caused the best lap time and icons for Holeshot, Podium and Hot Lap to be recorded and displayed in the event selection menu
- Gameplay: Fixed an issue that caused near-accident penalty situations to persist after a reset
- Gameplay: Added the ability to destroy when failing to recover from a near-destruction incident
- Online: Remove a player’s custom reset marker when that player leaves an online Freeride server
- Online: Fixed a rare event where the player loads the compound farm when trying to join an online playlist server
- Environment: Slight performance increase on some Pro Motocross tracks from 2022
- Environment: Fixed water foam particle behind the rear tire that was offset to the left of the tire instead of being centered to it.
- Environment: The lighting and atmospheric effects are adjusted in Slayground
- Environment: Fixed auto exposure to prevent it from exploding when paused during Slayground gameplay
- Environment: Slight performance improvement in Slayground
- Animation: Idle animations are significantly improved; Animation and placement of hands and fingers, hip and back position and orientation, leg positions
- Animation: Improved turning and leaning animations, especially when passed 50 degrees on MX bikes
- Animation: Freed up the rider’s body, allowing for more natural movements on the MX bike
- Animation: Added leg offset to ensure legs match the leg pegs on all MX bikes
- Animation: Prevent the rear tire of the Kawasaki KX450F from going through the fender
- Physics: Significantly reduced instances where wreckage occurs during takeoff and landing for no apparent reason
- Physics: Increased sideslip angle limitation across all bikes to reduce chances of wrecking when landing or sideslipping
- Physics: Improved skid behaviors for skid tires in all bike classes
- Physics: Increased traction across the entire bike when landing slightly sideways to prevent sliding across surfaces
- Physics: Increased wheel angle thresholds in all bike classes to reduce wrecks when doing wheelies
- Physics: slightly increased general grip on ATVs and tuning parts for ATV tires to match MX bikes
- Physics: ATV power tuned to be more competitive with the MX 450F
- Physics: ATV Grip tires have been updated to make wrecking when landing sideways much more difficult
- Physics: Updated ATV tires to make wrecking a little easier when landing sideways
- Physics: Added correct friction values to concrete slabs
