Those curious about what The Division 2’s next big update will bring, wonder no more, as Ubisoft has revealed The Division 2 Title Update 17 PTS Patch Notes!
As with all PTS (Private Test Server) changes, there is no guarantee that everything listed below will make it to the final retail patch. Also, it should be noted that Ubisoft states that they are still working on new features mentioned in the comments below, so they are not in their final stages.
The PTS patch should be running on your PC right now. No word yet on when we’ll see this patch hit retail.
The Division 2 Title Update 17 PTS Patch Notes:

new equipment
Habsburg Guard aka “HG” – set of gear brands
- 1 part equipped gives +15% headshot damage
- 2 parts equipped give +15% damage to slingshot
- 3 pieces equipped give 10% status effect
- Chest and backpack bonuses:
- Chest named “Respected” – Talent “Perfect Trauma” – Applies blind on hitting an enemy in the head. 20 second cooldown. Applies bleeding to an enemy hit in the chest. 20 second cooldown
- Backpack named “The Messenger” – Talent “Perfect Reptile Death” – Inflicting a status effect on an enemy has a chance to spread the same status effect to the nearest enemy within a 10 meter radius. Can only occur once every 10 seconds.
Hotshot – equipment set:
- 2 parts equipped give +30% sniper rifle damage and +30% stability
- 3 parts equipped give +30% headshot damage
- 4 equipped pieces grant access to a new unique talent
- talent “headache” – First headshot with a slingshot will increase the headshot by 20%, a second headshot in a row with a slingshot will give +10% armor (if in full armor this will give a maximum bonus armor of +50% of the current armor value), the third headshot in a row will fill renew the magazine. From the 4th start, agents will receive all 3 bonuses for each consecutive kill. Missing a headshot will reset the cycle.
- Chest and backpack bonuses:
- “bold” chest talent – Increases bonus armor from 50% to 100%
- “Blessed” knapsack talent – Agents can miss headshot before cycle reset
Not available on PTS:
NinjaBike messenger bag – Exotic backpack
- “Resourceful” talent – Enter with any Equipment Kit and/or Brand Kit equipped to fulfill the requirement to unlock Equipment and/or Brand Kits bonus. Allows you to open bonuses from several sets at the same time.
New weapons and talents
Exotic weapon
Sacrum Imperium – An exotic variation of the G28 sniper rifle.
- talent “the trap” – Tags enemies in range (max 10). Killing any marked target with a headshot inflicts a 10 second burn status effect and grants 50% (20% in PVP modes) reduced movement speed on all other targets. The cooldown is 30 seconds. Killing another enemy with a headshot shortens the cooldown by 10 seconds. Targets are marked after 2 seconds in scope.

Prophet – 686 police magnum pistol
- “Perfectly Focused” Talent* – Killing an enemy with a headshot ensures that the next shot will be a critical headshot. Exclusive for pistols, rifles and card guns.
Relic – G28 sniper rifle
- “Perfectly Focused” Talent* – Killing an enemy with a headshot ensures that the next shot will be a critical headshot. Exclusive for pistols, rifles and card guns.
“targeted” talent* – After killing an enemy with a headshot, the next shot that lands on any enemy will be a guaranteed headshot. Exclusive for pistols, rifles and card guns.
*The name is a placeholder.
PVP quality of life changes
- Players of a lower skill level cannot use the Jammer against players of a higher skill level: the Jammer level must be the same or higher.
- Fixed an issue where a shard trap would apply PvE damage in PvP
- Exotics that are otherwise exclusive to a specific content/source are available as random tainted drops in the DZ
- Exotic weapons that can be obtained as random loot drops after killing enemies in the DZ

known problems
- The PTS Crafting Cache does not mention the new TU17 gear in its content description
- The exclusive “Focus” and “Perfect Focus” talents for pistols, rifles and sniper rifles are misnamed: “Focus” and “Perfect Focus”
- The “Focused” and “Perfectly Focused” talents are not activated on a new equipped item with the same talent
- The Sacrum Imperium Exotic Sniper Rifle’s “Trap” talent includes a thumbnail
- The Sacrum Imperium rifle has a leather slot
- A placeholder icon is displayed in place of the Habsburg Guard brand kit icon in the item description
- Exotic weapons that can be obtained as random loot drops after killing enemies in the DZ
- Regulus and Puck’s Nemesis have a chance to drop in the Dark Zone – not intended and will be completely removed for TU17.
- Regulus and Puck’s nemesis sketches have a chance to drop in the dark zone – unintended and will be completely removed for TU17.
- Hotshot equipment set
- The next headshot buff that granted the “Headache” talent will not be lost when you miss your next headshot, even if the talent icon under the agent’s health bar disappears. The player can miss as many shots as he wants, the next headshot will have increased damage. Does not apply to the fans from the second or third headshot in a row.
- The next headshot buff granted by the “Headache” talent is applied to any weapon the player may switch to regardless of weapon type even if the talent icon under the agent’s health bar disappears. The buff also applies to the spec weapon.
- The headshot damage bonus from the “Headache” talent may not reset after missing headshots
- If a player equips four pieces of the Hotshot Gear Set before equipping the Hotshot Vest, the Stand Tall Piece talent will not activate
- The “Lucky” talent does not function if the Hotshot Backpack is not among the first four pieces of the Hotshot Gear Set equipped
- Colors are not applied to any part of the Hotshot Gear Set
